I’ve looked around for an answer for this but can’t find much.
Every time I open any ztool made in version 3.2 (Mac) in version 4, version 4 crashes.
Any insight or work around to solve this would be really appreciated.
Thanks

If you still have version 3.2 installed then export out of that as an obj. then import the obj. into version 4.
Thanks for the reply.
I thought that might be an option, but I loose all my subdivision levels.
Is there any way version 4 can open version 3.2 without having to export the 3.2 version as an obj?
Cheers
ZBrush 4 is supposed to be backward compatible, but I have seen some cases where it isn’t. If your concerned about the subdivision levels, then you can export an obj. on subdivision level 1 and export another on your highest subdivision level, then bring both of those into ZBrush 4. At that point, you can then subdivide the low poly one to the number of levels you had before, then use Project All to project the details from your high poly onto the highest subdivision level of your low poly mesh (also see this thread). Be forewarned though, an obj. with millions of polygons can take a while to process.
You can also submit a support ticket, because ZBrush 4 is supposed to be backward compatible, maybe support would have a better idea.
Ok cool i’ll do it that way.
Thanks for the help.
Much appreciated
