3.1 Great Job, Pixologic!

There are various interface options available using the buttons top right of the UI (just left of the ‘padlock’ icon). These include a ‘Minimal’ option that has no buttons at all.

If that is not exactly what you meant, then consider that reducing the steps for certain operations reduces the options available; this would inevitably not suit everybody.

But does any one know, if this is compatible with the non-intel macs, and if not when will that version of 3 be released, I wanna play too

I really didn’t want to post any complaints for the update, because I am very happy with what I see…my only question is if Pixologic is still working on the custom menu problem where one can’t add the subtool and layer scroll sections to the custom menu. I’d like to add them to my custom menu, but they still don’t save with the UI. Also, are there any plans to bring back the old floating palettes ala 1.55? I really miss those, as do many others. If not, I can live with it…we have been since 2.0 after all. But they were nice to have.

rake tool is playing funky with me only?

(maybe if I reset zbrush to defaults or something? (how can i do that?))

thats not what i meant.

i meant a UI like mudbox, like standard windows UI, no drop shadows, no fade in/fade out, no transparency, no nothing fancy at all. just plain simple flat ui. it would be helpful to have one button option to do that. frankly i dont need the UI to look beautiful at all.

i just can say WOW…i like the changes on 3.1…you know alt brush size, stroke, mouse average…UI…ZMapper…all and all…wow!!!..its perfect !!!
thank you pixologic :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

it seems zb3 got some very nice changes or additions but there are still some things missing. you still cant easily give subtools different materials OR even textures, you still have to convert textures to polypaint. thats not good coz i dont want 1,5 million polygon eyes on a character just to see the pupil.

if i´m wrong sry for the complaining.

—edit—

zb 3.1 still doesnt “remember” the last used folder.

Just wanted to say thanks so much for the patch. Superb to have the plugins working again, the interface really got a nice polish and the whole things feels much better.

Great work!

problem ´with the new interface!
Where can i find the control to how much smooth I will use??

In 3.o It was under the smooth icon, but with the new UI,i can’t find it
search also under “brush”,mmmhh, somebody help…me,The main poblem is that the smooth brush smooth too much,

I Love the new look, still exploring thru everything:rolleyes:

edit : sorry for double response

ah lol thx. havent seen it. but im not the only one :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow, great update guys! I look forward to using 3.1 in future projects. Keep up the fantastic work!

Thank you very much Pixologic!

You can set many of the interface colors and effects to what you want. As an example, load this using the Preferences:Icolors:Load Ui Colors button. You can save a color setup to the ZStartup\UserInterfaceColors folder and then scroll thru to it using the button top right of the UI. Or you can save a color setup as your default by storing the configuration (Shift+Ctrl+i).

well. i’ve had more crashes with this version than the one previous. crashed on me three times straight in the act of saving. and i’m still having scaling problems. the one bug from 3 that was really messing with me. so i’m feeling pretty !#$*#@$$ dark on this patch right

Pixologic, thank you. This new contribution is most excellent!

As of yet, no problems, except one major one… My help files are gone? When I click the help button, it prompts me to locate a .txt. Where is this .txt, or does the online doc replace the old help files? A bit confused here…

Thanks agian, keep it up!

it seems mouse input average count does not work when rotating the object anymore.

thanks. however, what i was looking for isnt a simple change like this. i meant a simple UI like standard window browser which i think would use less resources that the current zb3 UI, but i might be mistaken.

something like this:

anyways, now i cant see some of the text:

thanks for trying though
