2 Zspheres joining to become 1 non-parent zsphere?

The threads I’ve read that discuss this are 7 years old.

Is there still no way to have a zsphere object close in on it self like a closed loop…with just 4 zspheres instead of 5(instead of two overlapping to look like one)?

I realize that there has always been only one parent Zsphere but perhaps someone got around it with a plugin?

The image below has a total of 5 zspheres, 2 that overlap at the bottom. I want to make a much more complex Zsphere model than the pic below but with multiple closed loops that look like that. I could do this with box modeling, Zsketching, etc… but my question is about zspheres.

yes…and no. You can’t get zspheres to loop. but you can generate a mesh and then perform a remesh all on that new mesh that will create a closed loop for you. You can also use sphere’s 2 to create your closed loop as well.

Thanks. That’s what I suspected.

I like the way adaptive skin generates meshes as opposed to zsketch generated unified skins which can have more triangles and be less smooth.

If I was using 3dcoat which seems to, at the moment anyway, have a more efficient retopoligizer, I’d make it with zspheres or zsketch and then remesh.

I’m betting that Zbrush will have a quicker way of remeshing in a future version.
