very nice – the bottum render on fishbal3 looks fantastic. that would make a great poster.
bravo
Some really nice renders. I like nr 2 & 3 more then 1. It’s good to see people posting tutorials about their works. Nice work
So pilou disappeared in the back of his house that contains his huge archive for a bit and came up with the original. shoulda known he would pull a stunt like that ;p (just jokin with ya mate ;p)
I am a huge fan of MC Escher, so despite a short period away from the forum (I have tried to keep up as much as time allows!), to find this thread on my return is very pleasing…
Baz - I love the original concept and execution - great work! I think that my favorite is still the first one you posted, although the 3rd (granite type effect) is also lovely.
When I saw that others were posting Escher-inspired work, I remembered this:
Hidden away in a box somewhere was this two-tone brooch that I made in jewelry-making classes years ago. Now somewhat tarnished, it measures around 3 by 2 cm, and is made from a base plate of 1 mm copper sheet, with a brass fish cut from 0.25 mm sheet, silver soldered onto the copper base. The detail was then acid etched. onto the finsihed piece.
Not master jewelry-making, but thought I’d share anyway, while we were on the subject
Someday I may even get round to posting some ZBrush stuff!
Regards
Adam
Adam, nice brooch. It is a part of the colored painting I posted.
Nice to meet another Escher-fan!
