Hi Kathy,
Nice image composition. Did you try to activate Shadows? I think the image needs softening with subtle light and shadows.
Make sure that at least on of your sun lights has shadow selected and increase the intensity and the length.
Then activate shadows in the render panel.
You will know it`s worked if the ants cast a shadow on the wood.
If you don`t understand any of the above let me know and I will do a step by step.

I of course enjoy everything you post here but Gurgler’s and Southern’s suggestions are great. Your roses are beautiful and I bet they smell as sweet.
