ha ha ha @ the hamburger helper guy !!! ever see the guy that does this with coffee and spoon on napkins - really cool see if i can find the link ?
Hey Dragon, that hot rod is looking sweet! Oh, and the residual food art is rather unique; you should recreate that as a ZBrush sculpt and texture it with the photo;)
Dave
Dragon, the rod is full of awesome!
Side note; if you had done the face on the plate as Jesus you could have Ebayâed it for a million bucks!
time to visit back your sketchbook.
This is a brilliant idea - the mix between a HOTROD and the roman style is just kickass!
I love the vibrant colors and the character is on spot!
Really looking forward to see the finished scene!
Hi VISEone, and now, you know why I love YOUR WORK. I enjoy everything everyone puts up here, BUT, if itâs âcartoonishâ or âhard surfaceâ, I will always go to those posts first. I have downloaded your link to my desktop to make sure I stay up with what you post over at your forum. Ya, you caught it, I am trying to go with a Roman/futuristic/âcoolâ cartoon style. I have a ton more after I finish this one i.e. a cartoony character with a cartooned vehicle. Just gotta get past this one and I will be fine (itâs been hell for me trying to understand this neat 3D thing). But I will get there- Again, a million thanks for coming by.
Hey gang, havenât posted in some time. Anywho, got the itch to start on a new project from a sketch I did while at work last year. For now, I am just calling it âThe Mayanâ. Below are some quick concept sketches (i.e. looking to add tattooâs, scars, necklace, headwear, change the base, and a stylized JAGUAR next to the character), and my start on the Mayanâs body using Dynamesh. Right now not sure if I am making the Mayan Calendar in the back all GOLD or BONE/TAN colored. Hope you like.
Messing around with Dynamesh (Alien) and playing around with âKotelnikoffâ.
A Jaguar for my âThe Mayanâ sculpt. Hope you all like. A little C&C is very welcomed. Best, Dragon.
A little simple Step by Step:
Messing around on how big to make the Jaguar. Next step, finish the Mayan (in comp):
hey Dragon, the tiger looks great and excellent pose.
VERY nice works AZTEC and MAYAN indeedâŠ
Hey EZRA52, long time no talk- Sorry, been out (was in the hospital for over a week, now at home resting for a few more-had pancreiteze-however you spell it- and had my galbladder removed. Ya, real nasty, was even told by the docâs that it can kill if not taken care of. But, I am out of danger now). Anywho, glad you dropped by again. I really like how your Honda bike turned out, very, very close to the original concept and most amazing⊠you did it ALL IN ZBRUSH! Kudos my friend.
Interu2x, thanks a million for dropping by. I highly appreciate your comment.
Oh, I forgot to put that this is just a WIP⊠oops.

Haha ! Love the shape of this one ! and the attitude aswell.
Canât wait to see more
Hey Guedin, thanks a million for coming by. Now you see why I love what your creating over at your thread- I am glad you picked out the âshapeâ, as you can tell, trying to go for that cartoon look. As I am creating this piece, I am thinking Frazetta meets DisneyâŠkinda. Hope it comes out right. Best, Dragon.
WIP!! âThe Mayanâ sculpt. Just working on the overall structure of âmy Mayanâ. Hope you all like it so far.
Very cool Jaguar. Should be a great image. You nailed the Jaguar. Iâm really enjoying seeing more toonish (is that a word) work lately.
Glad to see Big Daddy Roth is still appreciated. In fact I have a bunch of reference material and was thinking of doing a Rat Fink image soon also. That would be a great way to get a handle on hard surface modeling in the newest ZBrush.
Rat Fink stuff was very big when I was a teen. Oops, Iâm giving out my age
Hope you took a look at Big Daddyâs work. I must have done dozens of them doodling as a kid and in art classes in the 1960âs. Iâm rambling again. small_orange_diamond
I wonder if there are still many of the old posters around. Long live Kustom Kulture.
Hi Blaine, great to see you in these parts- Thank you very much for the cool comments. I had a heck of a time trying to understand the Jaguarâs anatomy. I own the book âCyclopedia Anatomicaeâ by Gyorgy Feher and Illustrated by Andras Szunyoghy, the book has excellent âbig catâ anatomy, but does not cover it from every angle etc. Spent many, many hours on the net looking at Jaguars in different positions and even then, it still was not enough info. So, much of my sculpting was guess work. Sooo, your comment is very welcoming⊠thanks a million.
Ya, big Daddy Roth rules! You and I are probably around the same age, I too grew up drawing all those Rat Fink images. What a great time right?
I do love my âtoonishâ stuff as well (love creating it, as well as viewing it from other artists).
Yes, long live Kustom Kulture-
On a last note, viewed your work, your really good with ZB. Would love to see more from you as well my friend. Best, Dragon.

Hello everyone. Here I am with an update on my âTHE MAYANâ sculpt. Still working on THE MAYAN i.e. head, hands, feet, body, etc. I will be making a base, weapon, etc. C&C welcomed⊠PLEASE-
