I am permanentely getting error messagers when trying to load some zTools. I can see the thumbnail in the preview window, though. Is there any way to get my tools to load? Or do I have to face the thought of having lost dozens of working hours 
?

Could you please tell us WHAT error messages you are receiving, and the steps that you are taking which lead to the error?
The message is “Error has been encountered while trying to load a tool. Loading has been aborted.”
It always happens with a bunch of tools I fortunately had previously burned on a CD, since after a complete system crash most of those files were gone. So, after re-installing ZBrush, I copied the tools back onto my harddrive, and now the above error occurs when trying to load. Loading directly from the CD doesn’t work either. The CD, however. doesn’t seem to be damaged, as a bunch of other files I had burned on it can be opened just normally.
Which version of ZBrush are you running? Trying to load version 1.55b tools with an earlier version will give this error. The only other possibility is that the files have somehow become corrupt. Possibly from a bad burn at the time that they were recorded to disk.
I`m using 1.55b, the same version the tools have been made with.
…I suppose I’d better start modeling and texturing all over…
