Hello, just wondering if anyone else if experiencing ZStartup Master PlugIn not working with the latest updates? The plugin no longer works for me and I also cannot download it again from the Plugins section on the Pixelogic website.
As a side question I would like to know what people do about their Custom UI’s when updating to a higher version. I hear you should not import old Custom UI’s into new updates as they may affect its usage but this obviously means building your UI from scratch every time?
Any help would be brilliant thanks people

Did you click the “Install Custom Startup” button at the bottom of the plugin after you made your changes?
I was able to download the plugin again from the Resource Center
ZStartupUtility_v7.1_Install.zip (310.3 KB)
I have never had any problems and I load my custom UI after every update. If you do have problems, you can always re-install ZBrush or try and fix or remove anything that no longer works.

We are currently aware of an issue with Google Chrome when attempting to download resources from the Pixologic Website. If that describes your situation, then either right click on the link to “save link as”, or use a different browser.
The plugin works as expected for me on Windows. If you can repeat an issue with its use, please contact Pixologic Support.
Re: Custom UIs. It generally isn’t recommended to port forward UIs made in a previous version of the program. They may reference features that have changed under the hood, and can cause issues including visual glitches and program instability.
That said, many times it will be ok. Give it a try. If you experience issues with its use, you’ll know it should be the first suspect. In that case, discard the UI and re-create it in the new version.

Hello Zber2 and Spyndel, Thank you both for these tips and your thoughts on the UI. I have just gone ahead and loaded my UI and it seems fine. I also found a downloaded version of ZStartup in a folder on my desktop and that actually worked fine so all is now good. Anothher thing that was throwing me off after installing was the new “Autoload Recent Project” button. After I unchecked that life got a whole lot more familiar!!!
