Hello guys. I am learning about zspheres at the moment in the book I am using and decided to play around using symmetry. The problem is that when I pull out some zspheres with symmetry on the preview mesh twists. I would post a pic but I’m on my phone right now. It is odd because it’s not twisting all the arms either. Like if I pull out 8 arms 3 or 4 will be twisted. I can rotate the zspheres to fix this but I don’t know why it’s happening to begin with. Any ideas? I’m pretty new so all the detail you can toss at me is a big help. Thanks.
Well, I finally got to play with zbrush again tonight and was planning on trying to get some pics to post about the zsphere preview mesh twisting with radial symmetry on but now it’s not showing up…go figure. If I run into it again I will try to grab a pic or two to post on here and see if anyone knows if I maybe caused it without realizing what happened or if it was maybe a bug. Take er easy guys.
Ok, I am seeing the spheres spin on me right now without using symmetry while trying to make a body for this dragon head. I am trying to move one of the spheres and it is moving while also rotating for some reason. I can see the sphere spin a few degrees away from strait out from the parent sphere and then it stops spinning but still changes the mesh. If I move a little it twists the mesh and if I move it farther up the mesh gets built without a twist but its still not what I expected.
Hi Xaranthius,
When working with ZSpheres it’s always a good idea to bring your draw size down to 1.
See if that helps
Thanks. I willsee if that helps out when I get a chance.
