ZSpheres to Mesh Question (Not able to leave preview mode with sculpt details?)

Hello! I used zspheres to block out my sculpt, then went into preview mode and started sculpting on the mesh. I didn’t know what I was doing so I didn’t realize I was in preview mode the whole time I was sculpting. Is there a way to make my mesh into a skin and keep the sculpting I’ve done on it?

I tried “Make Adaptive Skin” but nothing happens. When I leave preview mode, the object reverts back to a basic skin of the zspheres, without any sculpting I’ve done to it.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @ilookedeverywhere

When you click “Make Adaptive Skin” it will create a new tool regardless if you’re in Preview mode or not. Look in your Tool palette. It will have the prefix “Skin_”. You could also just click “Make PolyMesh3D” if you no longer need the ZSpheres…

Thank you so much! I didn’t think to look in the tool palette, you’re right it’s there! I really appreciate it!

No problem. :+1:
