I am following the steps to rig a t-pose with Zspheres. The problem I am having is that I am not seeingblending between bones. Is this a software bug or am I doing something wrong? I am using ZB4r7 on a PC with windows 7. Please see the attached images for reference of
This looks as though the mesh has too many polygons to work well with a ZSphere rig. You could try using ZRemesher to create a lower resolution base mesh which you could then subdivide and project high resolution detail from the original. You’d then pose the lowest subdivision level. Marcus has good advice… much easier to work on a lower poly bound mesh.
But it also looks like it is doing it almost exactly as you have it set - and exactly what I would expect from that particular rig:
The bound mesh is following your zsphere rig pretty darned closely.
Adjust the zspheres sizes.
I’ve found that for best results you want to try to keep the zsphere size close to the mesh size. It takes some tweaking, and hip bends like that will need some adjustments.
