I use both a Mac Pro and and Macbook pro and using zspheres the program quits. I create the first zphere and using the A key it previews the mesh. Now adding zpheres and then previewing the mesh the program quits. It does not always happen with the first added zsphere, but sometimes happens after moving a zphere or adding others. Is there something I am doing that is causing this problem.
Which version of ZBrush are you running? What plugins have you installed? Could you show a screen shot of the entire ZBrush window when you get the error?
I need a new laptop. I also need my Zbrush. Will Zbrush run on the new MacPro i5 or i7? I’m guessng I have to load Windows with Boot camp and open Zbrush there?
Thanks, Drew
I am using Zbrush 4. I have not installed any plugins yet. I don’t have a screen shot because the program closes down there is nothing to take a screen shot of. Before the event happens I have the basic opening screen. I draw a zsphere. I add a zsphere, move it, hit the a key to preview the mesh and the program shuts down. Or, I sometimes add a zsphere to the original move it, preview the mesh and it works. I add another zphere sometimes move the new one then preview and the program shuts down.
i have the same problem with zbrush 4 on my macpro … don’t know if its a bug or something i’m doing wrong… … same crashing incident while creating zsphere along the way … temporary solution is to not to have overlapping zsphere … which preview will become transparent (dotted mesh)… avoid that …hope that works for u … anybody has a solution for this ?
No solution but I have the same thing on my macbook pro and my Mac pro. Both using the latest version of Leopard 10.6.5.
I also have a weird glitch where by when I save, my viewport clears the object in till I click in it again.
One other thing that i’m sure isn’t right is that my fan always seems to go into overdrive on my Macs when working on models.
