ZSphere / Adaptive Skin preview problem

Not having used Zspheres much before I decided to start now. On the surface the zsphere seems fine (X symmetry mirrored to do the eyes and ears) -

Being new to zspheres I am sure I have done something wrong but I don’t know what - I dont even know what to search for to help me.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I will appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Hello All - I have found the answer, so I must learn to not post before I think properly!

Sorry for any inconvenience :o

I wish you had taken the time to post the solution to your problem, as others like myself may end up here looking for the very same answers. I on the other hand, have not been as fortunate in fixing the problem as of yet. The search continues.

Hi Malloc,
When you go into adaptive skin preview, lower the Ires (intersection resolution) level to 4 or lower. Also play with the Mbr (membrane curvature) level and try the Mc (minimal skin to child) button until you end up with something that works for you. With a bit of searching this forum and reviewing the practical guide you should be able to find out the logic of why these functions do what they do. Welcome to ZB!

And don’t forget to run the ZScript tutorials that come with ZBrush! This subject is covered there, along with all sorts of other great info about getting the best results from ZSpheres.
