Zscript Stager Home/Target stage active

Hi, looking to set the stager specifically to Home/Target, not using the switch stage and simply going to whatever it isn’t currently.

Cheers

Hi,

Welcome to ZBC!

Can you explain a little more of what you are trying to do? “Switch stage” does go to whatever it isn’t currently.

Thanks,
Marcus

I do not wish to go to whatever it is not.

I wish specifically to go to one of the states. (in this case Home stage)

Press button

if i am on target stage > go to home stage
if i am on home stage > go to home stage (and/or do nothing)

I have a script that relies on me being at my home stage when it is run to function correctly.
I can of course just make sure I am on the home stage manually outside of the script functionality, but it would be preferable to be able to activate the script regardless of current stage.

Hopefully that clears things up, cheers.

Many thanks, now I understand.

There’s no way to tell if you are at the home stage or not using zscript. The Switch Stage button doesn’t provide any data on its state.

The only way you could make it work is to record the size/position of the home stage. You could then test to see which of the stages matched the stored data. But if you are going to do that then you might as well tell the user to set the model to the home stage before running your script.
