I have a question regarding ZRemesher that I hope someone could help with. I am trying to use a 128x128 polygonal sphere and “shrink wrap” it around my original mesh as a sort of Retopo mesh. I realize this method is a little odd. However, my Retopo Sphere has to be exported as a 128x128 sculpt map for import into Second Life. My problem isn’t “shrink wrapping” the Retopo Sphere to the original mesh. The problem I’m having is when using ZRemesher and selecting “Same” for the target poly count (to ensure it doesn’t add / remove polys), the original seam from the Sphere is removed. Is there any possible way to use ZRemesher on an object, keep the same poly count AND keep the original seam? Unfortunately I haven’t seen anything on the web in my searches that suggests this is possible. If anyone has any feedback or ideas on how I could pull this off, I would be extremely grateful!
