Zplugins won't show up

Hi guys,

ever since I switched from windows XP I've had the annoying problem of not being able to see any zplugins in the plugin list.

At work I had windows Vista 32bit, and had the same problem I have now.. the plugins didn't show up. But since it worked perfectly on my home PC, which used XP, it wasn't an issue.

To avoid the problem I skipped Vista and purchased Windows 7 64bit edition during a home PC upgrade, only to discover that now I have that same problem and no longer have an XP PC to use the plugins on.. which you can imagine is rather annoying :)

I noticed there are a few similar topics, but none have answers to my problem, since they mostly used older versions of Zbrush. I use ZBrush 3.5 R3, and like to think by now I know how to install Zplugins properly ;)

edit I’ve put the plugins in the ZStartup/Zplugs folder ánd the ZData/Zplugs folder… same result. Only Quicksketch is listed in the program menu.
I added a relevant screenshot anyway. Hopefully I missed a topic or perhaps the pixologic wizzkids are already working on it

Regards.

You’ve installed it in the wrong folder, it needs to be in the ZStartup / Zplugs folder.

Richard

I’ve tried that aswell. Both folders contain the same files, without results :frowning:
Even the default 3.5 plugins don’t show up. DecimationMasterDataWinV1.12 for example…
Only Quicksketch is listed in the program menu.

those plugins came out after r3? how come you didn’t get your copy of the r3 upgrade when it came out?

The version of zbrush you are running is 3.5 r2, but you have the plugins installed in the zbrush 3.5 r3 folder.

You must upgrade to 3.5 R3 to run the plugins.
Please, contact the support if you didn’t receive your 3.5 R3 upgrade.

Oh silly me, I always assumed I was running the R3
Sorry for the bother lads. Cheers!
