zpheres mesh tapping method not working

hi guys,

im trying to learn how to rig a mesh using the technique in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmury2eT_io, but im stuck at the first step - when i try to click on my mesh to create the basic zphere skeleton in draw mode, it doesn’t work, and i can’t figure out why.

what i want to do is to be able to just click on various parts of my mesh to locate the zpheres while in draw mode and then go in to each individual zphere to modify their location using the move and rotate mode.

can someone please help me?

Ghost transparency must be off. Make sure you are in Draw mode. You also need to click+drag, otherwise the ZSphere will be very small which will cause problems.
To pick a new ZSphere to add to, switch to Move mode and click on the ZSphere to select it (it will turn red) and then switch back to Draw mode before click+dragging where you want to add the next ZSphere.
