Zoom issue on 2018/Trial version with Cintiq 22HD

Hello! I’m having an issue I hope someone can help with even though it’s for ZBrush 2018 (what they offer as the trial).

When using my Cintiq 22HD, when I attempt to zoom using “ALT-LMB, release ALT, move stylus” the action reverts to rotation.

CTRL-RMB also does not work.

If I ALT-LMB, move the stylus slightly (pan) and then release ALT zoom will be activated. However, this is a very slow way of working.

If I use my mouse both methods of zoom work fine. So it seems to be an issue between the tablet and Zbrush. I have double-checked and the stylus is set for a button RMB action.

Has anyone run into this before? Thanks for any advice!

If it works fine with the mouse then as you say there would seem to be some sort of issue between the tablet and that version of Zbrush. There could be an internal setting for the device at issue, a setting in your OS at issue, or an issue with the drivers and that version of Zbrush. Make sure to disable any sort of “press and hold” tablet features in the OS, or things like Pen Flicks that may cause input lag.

If you can’t find the culprit yourself, since you’re using the demo you’ll have to contact Pixologic Support to troubleshoot technical issues of this nature.

In the meantime, enabling Right Click Navigation in Preferences> Interface > Navigation will enable an alternate control scheme that may work better for you. Remember to store config (preferences > Config> Store Config ) to have zbrush remember that setting at startup.

Thank you!

I’ve attempted to troubleshoot internal settings with no luck. I didn’t know about the Right-Click Navigation option so I will try that and see if it gets me up and running so I can at least try the software. Again, thank you~!
