When I try to extrude a single poly, for some reason it affects other things randomly. Is this a bug? A setting I can change?
Seems to do it when I use Insert as well.
I assume you’re using Qmesh. Qmesh has a “sticky” property where it tries to extrude in logical “chunks” based on adjacent poly faces. Play around with it some more and see what I mean. It can be very useful in many situations, but sometimes you really only want to extrude a single poly face.
In those situations, try instead to extrude with either the Poly> Extrude> [target] operation, or the Poly> Transpose> [target] operation, where you can extrude with the Transpose action line, by holding Ctrl and click dragging on the center circle.
All of those operations (qmesh, extrude, and transpose-extrude) will extrude poly faces, but each does it in a different manner that may be more useful in specific situations.
Even when I stitch, it gives me the same bug. Anybody else having this problem?
