ZMaterial- Fake Ivory, makes aged Ivory look

FirstParagraph: Aged Ivory made easy, just apply the included texture, and material and you too can have the carved ivory look… CAUTION! Animal testing used to make this material!!!

LOL!

Hi all!

I have finaly got a nice aged Ivory look to my models Via Zbrush 2 new cavity shader.

This material is just basicaly a tweaked Double shader2 material…

for the + intensity values of cavity shader1 I have a dark black color assigned ,and a solid hot pink color for the reflection (46units)

and to the - intensity values of cavity shader 2 I have a light tan color, with a perlin noise for reflection (46units )… This is for the High points of the model… it will make a light color to give a worn smooth look and to push the noise into the cavity area more…the noise value is in this shader for dirty look near the cavity…

The included texture is for the middle color in the ivory, either assign it to your model, or choose a color near it…

With a little tweaking this can be used for about any kind of dirty worn looking material … I am going to try some jade colors later…

special thanks to Svengali for the Example photo in this thread :

Good material. I can definately make use of it. Thanks!

this shader is fat! I love the effects with and without my painted textures added a little gel shading to the channel.

Cool head Ron  love the trick lighting

filament9 you are welcome

steventaylor that gel shader idea is a cool one, I am going to play with that in a while

wenna glad to hear you like it, looking forward to seeing what you use it for

Well, I have been hard at work this morning playing with a poseable body I made from Zspheres… sculpted the preview skin, and saved the morph target to the nake Zpheres (adaptive skin OFF)… I doodled this the day before yesterday…

I threw this scene together in about 1/2 hour, and rendered it in about 15 minuets…

for the blocks I drew a random blob on the screen and grabbed it with the mrgbz grabber tool… then made a 3d blob out of the alpha, the blocks are an adaptive skin I made with the smoothing turned to 0 from the blob…

I am pretty happy with the Global illumination settings in Zbrush, I have never realy noticed them much in the past… playing with them has realy payed off in this wall paper I made :D… it is realy BIG so please give it a moment… 56.6k Modem users might want to go and make a sandwitch or a pot of tea the image below is quite large…

to use as wallpaper set the display settings to center, default in windows will squish it with the streach to fit feature

anyways… hope you all enjoy the picture… thanks for looking…:sunglasses: :+1:

love the guys on the cubist area, reminds me of your snail dudes
