Hi, please, don’t ban me for the horrible and nasty things that you are going to see below.
Forgive me… This is my second day of license with ZBrush

Here’s also my first attempt to make something… I’ve chosen Obelix.

hey nice intro haha, and not bad for the time you’ve had wid zbrush, most ppl will prolly tell u to go look up anatomy books and reference and just keep practicing and u shud good luck

What I really miss with ZBrush is the ability to create things… ears are difficult to create from a zsphere for instance but even simplier shapes are for me impossible to reproduce…
I need to find out how to deal with the software

Here is another attempt.
I am also following a tutorial by Eric Keller from his book but I am having problems with the differences between ZBrush 3.5 and 4.

Anyway, here’s my quick sketch of a character:

Now I don’t know exactly how to deal with the spinal column… still trying to figure out how to bend naturally a pipe

Hey ZioRiP,

It’s not that bad. Yes, it looks like your ZBrush skills need some time to develop, but this ‘Cranio’ character is nice. Has a great whimsical feel, and lots of originality.

Keep at it – those skills will come.

There are almost unlimited resources here. Thread tutorials, videos, etc.
There are many different techniques and approaches. Find Artists whose work you like and browse their Threads, Websites & Blogs.
