ZeroMesh: How to keep PolyGroups + UVWs ?

Hello Hello,

I created my high res mesh. I do have nice Polygroups + UVWs.
I want to ZeroMesh to make the Polycount smaller.

When I do the ZeroMesh, I loose my PolyGroups + UVWs.

So how can I make sure, I still have my UWs and Polygroups after Zeromeshing ?

I created from the high res version a polypaint texture and would like to re-use.

you can’t keep either of those, not really anyway. You’re generating completely new geometry so your polygroups and UVs will be lost. You can however use another application to transfer your UVs. Maya, max, modo, etc all have functions for this.

But isn’t there a PROJECT ALL function ?

Isn’t it possible to transfer information from a high res to a low resh mesh ?
like UVW’s, masks ?

Project all would project high level detail and texture info (via polypaint) from your current mesh onto the newer, lower poly (different topology) mesh with its own unique UVs and polygroups.
