When actually zb2.5 release?

I have a question regarding zbrush v2.5. I am considering purchasing zbrush 2 but wanted to know if it is better to wait until v2.5 comes out. If I buy zbrush today, will v2.5 be a free upgrade or an upgrade at a discounted price?
Yup it is announced as a free upgrade 
i’m curious, will all subsequent upgrades be free for registered users? was v1.x to v2 free as well?
Im just a student starting out but if its all free upgrades then ill buy right now no hesitation.

So far that has been the generous way Pixologic has done it…but there is no guarantees that that will always be so. Having said that…I would gladly pay for an upgrade even if I had to eat potatoes for a year to pay for it. Each upgrade so far has been more groundbreaking, innovative and just plain awesome than the last and makes Zbrush a must have no matter what.
but I am biased in my love for it.
