Woon amazing :+1:

Poly paint looks fantastic. Great demo thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting the process. Looks amazing.

Amazing stuff. That was really cool to watch. Thanks

BTW, I noticed that the material “SkinShade4” was used to paint on. Is that a default material in 3.5 only, or can it be downloaded? (I’m on Mac version 3.2)

I can’t seem to cavity mask just pore/wrinkle level details.

Could you show how you are getting that?

I think he’s using the settings under Brush > Auto Masking > CavityMask

There’s a slider & curve there to set the amount or cavity masking

Awsome, thanks man! Saved it to my notebook folder

Great stuff! If you had a “name” attached to your post youd have hundreds of replies. Thats one of the annoying points of this forum.
I always prefered hand painted, polypainted skin textures to other solutions (zapplink, projections) because they seem to me more natural and they are more art than tech. Even if the industry doesn`t say so.

I tried messing with that and I just don’t get it.

Is there a tutorial somewhere that you know of?

I looked on YouTube and didn’t find anything on this subject…

Zbrush wiki: http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Cavity_Masking
I tried to figure it out at some point and used this

I don’t know of any tutorials, but I quickly uploaded a screen capture video if that helps (no sound): Link

Thank you for that polypainting mov … it’s really helpful! :+1:
