Hi guys,
I’m just wondering if any of you can help me out a little. Over the years I have become fascinated with 3D art, and have been following a lot of the 3D sites for a long time, however have never actually attempted it properly. ZBrush looks amazing but I’m a little worried.
I want to do some 3D work as a hobby during free time, but if there’s any chance I actually do get pretty good at it and could possibly get a job out of it, would just learning ZBrush effect me? I have tried using software like 3DSMax and Maya, but it just doesn’t suit me and I’m under the impression you have to use these in order to get into the game/toy/sculpture/movie industry. Please feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
I’ve always liked the look of ZBrush since I used to take sculpture classes and really enjoyed it, so basically, if I was to learn ZBrush, would I be limited to what I could do professionally? I don’t really want to delve into animation at the moment, just want to focus on modelling. Would it be more ideal to learn Max or Maya along with ZBrush?
You’ve probably seen this question before and I do apologise if it’s an annoyance. I just couldn’t find any of the topics on the forum (wasn’t too sure what keyword to search for).
Many thanks!
