I would like to see in the program, the ability to draw geometry with splines. For example, we draw a circle with a pen - a sphere appears, exactly along the line. Under the menu, you should be able to choose whether it will be a sphere or a flat circle. You can draw any shape and it will appear as a 3D model. The number of polygons should be sufficient so that the faces of the model are smooth.
In ZBrush, there are very few dimensions in the tools for modeling architectural geometry, or some mechanical structures. It is necessary to adjust the subtools by eye, checking the proportions between the subtools.
In the program, it is not very convenient to implement the removal of geometry. I really want to do this on the Delete key, on the keyboard.
In ZModeler, I would like to see moving-faces, points, polygons, by highlighting them, in white, on the Alt key, on the keyboard.
Also, the selection of geometry elements can be implemented using a negative mask by creating a special script for this.
When saving a project to a ZPR file, I want all the settings, with the full configuration of the tools, to be saved to the project file. These are: - Brush, Perspective, Grid on the model.
At the moment, only the model with the material is saved. Therefore, when you start ZBrush and load the project, you have to perform a tedious inclusion of all the tools to work.
We really need a selection brush: Vertexes, Polygons, Edges. We outlined the necessary elements with a brush, highlighting them in white, for example, and then called GIZMO, or transpose, to move in the right direction.
With this brush, you can replace the ZModeler brush. I think that such a brush is not difficult to make.
In the program, it is not conveniently implemented, the selection of polygroups. To select polygons in one color, you need to click the LMB on each polygon. Why not make it so that - by clicking on one polygon, moving the mouse, you can paint over all the neighboring polygons.
Regarding the selection - Brushes, Vertexes, Polygons, there was an idea of how this can be better implemented in ZModeler. You need an option to select these elements by simply painting them with a brush on the model, and if you click and hold the paint on the canvas, a laso appears, which can be used to select some area of the model.
In the program, you need an indicator of the enabled local symmetry. It can be a button in the right panel, which is not present at the moment. When local symmetry is enabled, the button will be clearly visible, it will be orange.
We need to implement a more convenient manipulator, 3D space, in the upper right corner of the canvas. When the 3D model is rotated, the 3D coordinate axis should also rotate, showing the 3D space. The letters on the axes - X,Y,Z - are required. The click on the axis, with the inclusion of the model direction, on this axis, should remain.
In the Paint Stop plugin, you need to add layers and blending modes to replace Photoshop. There should also be image cropping modes.
When editing the model, the reverse side of the polygons is not shown in any way. I would really like the model grid to be visible, so that you can edit the model from the back side.
- Make the canvas always occupy the entire area of the window workspace.
- Remove the white frame around the canvas.
- Drop down menu, to make darken it to see the items that belong to this drop-down menu. At this time, the drop-down menu is mixed by color and mixed with the main menu.
The manipulator, in 3D - GIZMO, should also be in 2.5D - replacing GYRO. I think GYRO is not convenient for manipulations in 3D space.
In 2.5D mode, it should always be possible to edit tools. Even if they are turned into pixols.
