I often work with programs such as TrueSpace4,3Dstudio max,Bryce5,Vue d’ Esprit. And I really am in need of a program that i can create and edit textures for my 3D models(.3ds,.cob, .obj files.)I was looking at deep paint 3D by Right hemisphere. And it looks great,but…$795.00 is not exactly cheap. So i was told about Zbrush. Can i use this program to “Paint” my 3D models? What exactly does Zbrush do? I have been to their website but i wanted to see what YOU, the user think about this product.I will appreciate any input.Thanks.
Hi Boricua,
Yes you can paint your 3D models in ZBrush.
I would reccomend you download the demo of ZBrush from the Pixologic website. (The current demo is of an older version of ZBrush, but the new demo should be coming out very soon.) ZBrush imports and exports .obj and .dfx files. (I think.) The demo can only load ZBrush format 3D models.
For more information on painting your 3D models, try here:Using 3D Copy

Also, try just browsing through the Quicklinks page. (There’s a link at the top right.)
Hope this helps.
