Zbrush updater might be causing slow zremesher/projecting time's and rendering

Okay, i don’t know if anyone else has really covered this about the 2021.6 version of zbrush.

but i recently updated my program for the amazing new additions of this update.

when i started diving into my characters and needing to start projecting and using zremesher, i was noticing that the program has now started to run and do its project’s a Whole lot slower than the previous version.

i tried looking up answers online and nothing seemed to really point in that direction.
finally after being kinda fed up with it, i thought
“what if i need a clean install, not with the zbrush updater?”

so i went to uninstall and noticed that in my list of “uninstall” programs, zbrush had been renamed on the list to “zbrush updater” instead of just “zbrush” like it normally always was.
so i uninstalled.

i went to the website, did my “my license” and did a clean install from the site to get the program.

Program now runs 100% proper and has the same speeds i was seeing prior to using the updater to update my zbrush.

So i guess my question is, has anyone else encountered this pretty weird little problem?

Hello @LizzyKoopa,

This will happen when you have used the ZUpgrade app to update your program rather than installing from the full installer. It should have no bearing on ZBrush performance.

Without being able to verify the performance issue, it sounds like the original update to the program may have been faulty for some reason or another. I can’t do anything but speculate without more information.
