ZBrush to Messiah

Hi All,
Well, I did a search for a definitive ZBrush to Messiah thread and a few promo type and outdated threads appeared, so I thought I’d risk creating a new more permanent thread dedicated to what I believe will be the dynamic-duo of solo 3D creation. Now we just need a GoZ plugin for Messiah and the world will change (lol).

I just got the Pro license and I just have to say that I’m blown away by this software. Of course Maya will always be a part of my pipeline but after seeing ( and tinkering around with) Messiah I feel that this App is more fine tuned for my Solo status in the 3D creation world. This status has had me feeling left behind in a lot of cases and caused much frustration.

So in anticipation of a massive surge in Messiah users due to the “Dare to Share” project I hope this thread will become useful as a more permanent resource. Who knows?

The one frustrating thing is the lack of free education and support, so as I discover secrets and stuff I will post them here. I’ll start by adding a link to a very good free tut from brmaddox (thank you sir!). Here it is

Thanks for visiting and heres to much ZBrush/Messiah development in the future.

Peace!

I too purchased Messiah from the “Dare to Share” promo but have not had much time yet to really delve in. One thing I found is that it seems you cannot import &/or render hi poly count models. Does this jive with anyone else’s understanding? I’m more of a sculptor than animator so I don’t have much experience with texture maps & rendering yet. Any tips would be appreciated.

Ahhh, yes Messiah is for the Animation set. I think in motion and Messiah is a wonderful solution to a time consuming art.

The renderer seems extremely powerful and it just looks fun to use, so I’m excited about importing some ZBrush.

Messiah is an Animation , rigging App so naturally the engine will need to tolerate fewer points/polys. It seems to me though that Messiah can handle some decent polycounts. It’s amazing software for the price.
