ZBrush to DAZ3D Inquiry

Hello

Does anyone use ZBrush to adjust or make clothing for DAZ Figures? I am having trouble with the resolution of my clothing I made for G2M figure. When I export from ZBrush 4R6 using GoZ to DAZ 4.6, it imports to DAZ fine. I did the transfer utility and my pants fit real good. Before I applied any morph to my figure it looks smooth. But when I apply any morph to add muscle to my figure it makes the pants look choppy. I’m assuming that this sounds like a resolution adjustment. I don’t know if this is an adjustment made in DAZ or ZBrush before I export it to DAZ?

When I originally used send to ZBrush in DAZ I had made sure the base resolution was set at base and sub level at 0.

In DAZ I tried adjusting the resolution to high and sub level to 2. It still looks choppy. It only looks choppy when I add a morph.

Any suggestions? Attached is a before morph image and what it looks like when the morph is applied.

Thanks

D|S allows you to define (sort of) the fitting of clothes, something like more loose/more tight.
Further more you can define if you want to have the model tend to have sharper edges or smoother ones.
And then you can add subdivision levels to any parts like clothing.

In Zbrush it matters (for D|S) if you extracted double sided or one sided.

Because it is a new part (you will not have to worry about keeping the poly count at any number), you might try to actually do a bit of modeling on these trousers (folds, etc.). Might help to get to something else then “second skin”.

Anyway, good luck with it …
