Zbrush Tablet Onscreen keyboard issue

Hello all,

First time posting here.

I am wanting to use Zbrush on my HP Laptop that doubles as a tablet by folding backwards. It’s an HP Elitebook Dragonfly.

I have a touch sensitive pen that works rather well with Zbrush.

However I cannot use it in tablet mode because I don’t have control, alt, shift etc. Does anyone know of an onscreen keyboard app that works well with Zbrush?

I bought a license of Tablet Pro. But it’s not working the way I need it to. IE when you press alt, it activates the button but you have to press it again to deactivate it. That doesn’t work for navigation, and I want something that only activates the button when you are holding it down.

Ah I hope that makes sense. There are control alt and shift buttons in Zbrush that you can dock to the UI but there’s the same issue.

I suppose I could use a keyboard or game pad but would much rather to just use it as a stand alone unit.

Sorry for the long post.

Much thanks,

Damian

Hi Damian,

Welcome to ZBC and sorry not to reply sooner.

I don’t have a suggestion for an app but just wanted to point out that you can use the Move, Zoom 3D and Rotate buttons on the right of the UI for navigating with a pen. Those buttons might solve your problem, and then the Ctrl, Shift & Alt buttons in the Preferences>Utilities>Key Modifiers could be used for masking etc.

HTH,
