ZBrush Summit 2023 - Back in Person!

Workshops

It’s time to mark your calendars for the 2023 ZBrush Summit!

Running from September 28 through October 1, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the ZBrush Summit and will be the ZBrush event of the year! We are especially happy to be returning to a live and in-person event at our venue on the Gnomon School of Effects campus at 1015 North Cahuenga Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90038.

There is no better opportunity to network with your fellow ZBrush artists and be inspired!

Of course, the majority of the live presentations will be streamed as in past years, and we are also once again opening the Sculpt-Off ZBrush artists everywhere. However, there will also be many Summit events that are only available to in-person attendees. If you can make it to Los Angeles the final weekend of September, you’ll want to be here!

Below are many of the events that you can expect:

Live Presentations

We are also now announcing the current lineup of live presentations. As always, these will be streamed online. Be aware that some presentations will not be able to be recorded. Plan to view them live!

Review Reservations

  1. The schedule showing reviewers and their availability will be posted at the Portfolio Reviews station. Please bear in mind that it is subject to change without notice, as additional review opportunities do sometimes appear during the day.

  2. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, beginning at 10:00 am each morning. No reservations will be accepted before this time. It is only possible to sign up for that day’s review schedule.

  3. When signing up, you may only reserve one slot for that day. No other artists will be able to sign up for the same reviewer in that time slot.

  4. When it is time for your reserved slot, please arrive at the Portfolio Reviews station 10-15 minutes early to check in. This will allow us to get you in with the reviewer on schedule, maximizing your time with them. Anyone who has not checked in by 5 minutes before their slot begins will forfeit their reservation.

  5. Once checked in, stand to the side of the Portfolio Reviews station, and wait to be escorted by Summit staff to your review.

Review Standby Openings

  1. If the person who has reserved the time slot has not checked in by 5 minutes before their review, or if nobody has signed up for that time, we will turn to those people who are currently present in the Standby line.

  2. Priority will be given to those who have not yet received a portfolio review.

  3. When a slot becomes available to the Standby line, priority will be given to those currently in line as follows:

  • a. People who have not yet received any portfolio review.

  • b. People who have not yet received a portfolio review that day.

  • c. People who have already had one or more reviews that day.

  1. Once checked in from the Standby Line, stand to the side of the Portfolio Reviews station, and wait to be escorted by Summit staff to your review.

The Scan Truck

The Scan Truck will be on-site, doing free scans for attendees!

More information will be posted as we get closer to the event. Bookmark this thread to stay in the know!

How do we bring our art files to the portfolio review? Do we bring laptop, USB file, or our phone? Or is there a computer they have we can just type in our portfolio link into?

Is there somewhere for us to look at all the submitted sculpts?

Please bring your laptop, tablet, or printed materials.

I know that there are computers in the rooms, but I don’t know if they’ll be able to be used.

Thank you!

Is there going to be a showing for Zbrush 2024?

Hello.

My name was drawn in the online event and I won a subscription prize. Is that a way to confirm that?

This is not the appropriate place to ask but I don’t know where else to do it.

@decosouza Yes, we have you down for a 1-year subscription to Gnomon workshop. We will be sending your information over to Gnomon Workshop this week. Give them until next week to get your subscription up and running.

Sorry for the delay, many of the team took some time off after the Summit and we were still dealing with a bunch of items that needed to be taken care of immediately after the Summit.

Let me know if you need anything.

Thanks a lot Paul.
No problem, I just needed to confirm because I have a very common name… lol

Thanks.
