Zbrush Rigging is nothing compared to this

How Zbrush Rigging should have worked oh well maybe in ZBrush 4.

yeah that was pretty cool, love the mesh penetration. i’d love to see that armadillo ballet through tokyo godzilla style.
is this a program that can be used right now? or just one of the hundred siggraph presentations that never see the light of day?

wow! That´s cool stuff, indeed! Thanks for the link. I´m wondering, too, if this will ever be available and in which form (plugin for major 3D apps?)

wonder it too, . I think that such technologies will be applied in traditional 3d apps in the near future. they will reflect on technological advancements allowing a funnier and faster workflow for rigging/animation

im sure that we will use this technology soon, i dont see in the future do animation the same way that i we do today…maybe next Zbrush will show us some great surprises.using something like this maybe i will animate something too

There is a thread here on ZBC that was posted a while back that shows how to rig and pose your model using ZSpheres. I took a moment to upload the video that was in that thread so you could take a look.

@martin, i’m not sure i see your point, as the OP said “zbrush rigging is nothing compared to this” and your video has yet to even approach it. not to mention that with zbrush rigging there are absolutely no controls on weighting etc. that said, it does have its uses, however it is still in its infant phase.

I think that in 2004 the video can not compare this video(MeshPuppetry.wmv). The gap between the two is quite obvious.I would like to be able to achieve this level.

What’s the likelihood that any features like this will exist in ZB4? I’d give anything for that self collision algorithm…salivating

Just go here

http://kunzhou.net/#poisson

and start posting that you want ALL OF IT in Zbrush4. I guess that would fit that new trend on the ZBC called “whatever I see new on the net - I WANT IT IN ZB!”.

facepalm

testy

No, I don’t want all of it. What was demoed here would be a highly useful (and time saving) addition to ZB. Since I don’t live on the forums I was just curious if there was any word about whether something similar might be coming down the pike,I mean the vid has been linked here since 2008.

Having a bad day?
