In zbrush, if you select any transpose tool and hold CTRL + dragging the transpose line on the model, it auto masks based on the direction you drag. This WORKS when the model is unified however that makes the model incredibly small.
If I make the model Im working on around 5 feet in centimeters in Maya, then transfer it to zbrush, quick masking with transpose DOES NOT work.
Another example… say I want to bend the arms with transpose. Ill hold ctrl and quick mask the arm using transpose, then rotate the limb. This only works if the model is really small or unified. Not when its real world size based on centimeters in Maya.
This isnt something thats game breaking, but it is a time saver If I could simply size up my models properly in the sculpting phase. Theres been a few times were Id forget to enlarge a model for baking purposes. Its getting to be a real pain.
Is this a bug though? Is zbrush having trouble with the model because its to large? How can I fix this if its fixable? Its been bugging me for ages and is something on the list of “Why I wanna try 3dcoat”. I like zbrush, I like what it has to offer. Its just theres too many little quirks that make me wonder why updates arent more routinely released.
Besides that, help with this would be great. I dont NEED quick masking with the transpose tool, however it would speed up the workflow. Id rather deal with no quick masking and a properly sized model than not.
