As in title ZBrush keeps crashing when it auto saves. Very annoying. I had this problem before and but it stopped, now it’s back, can’t remember if I did something last time to fix it or it just randomly stopped doing it.
Anyone know what might cause it?
Perhaps a permissions issue with where its trying to autosave to?
Thing is the save actually works, so It’s not a huge problem, I just have to load that save but it is really annoying.
This problem has been really bad today. It has crashed after every single auto save. Even after a reboot. It’s really confusing how one day it is fine and the next crashing on every single save.
I think turning off save history for the quick saves might have fixed it. Hasn’t crashed so far at least.
Ok this is still driving me nuts, I’ve had this same issue across 2 different systems so I surely can’t be the only one that has experienced it? The really bizarre thing about it is how inconsistently consistent it is; by which I mean if it starts doing it it’s gonna do it every single time all day long but if I go through a couple auto saves without problem them it likely wont be an issue for the rest of the session and this is on the same project, just different days. I’ve tried rebooting my machine when it happens but doesn’t seem to help, seems that if it’s gonna do it that day it’s just gonna do it every time. Is really weird.
I’ve started running into this issue too after upgrading from ZBrush 2020 to 2021. Every autosave it does corrupts the file and crashes ZBrush. I just updated to 2021.7.1 since there was mention about a fix to saves however it still is happening.
It happens regardless of file size and seems to not be concerned with how much free space is available.
I’ve tried a fresh install also and should have plenty of RAM for Zbrush (2020 worked great for a whole year without any issue).
