Zbrush R6 issue with zsphere editing topology

Hi all!

I have been retopologing my model by zsphere… i wanna to get hard surface with thickness…but in result i get different thickness on symmentral meshes (like some part of mesh has fliped normals)

before pressing “A” button:

after:

All retopo was done with activated symmetry…

PLS, help me to fix it…

It’s tough to tell what’s up from looking at that picture, but you can always symmetrize the pieces after mesh generation. Find the resulting skin object in the tool menu, and use Tool> Geometry> Modify Topology> Mirror and Weld. You may have to first flip it to get the side that you want mirrored, with Tool> Deformation> Mirror.

Thanks for the suggestion, but some times zbrush fliping different parts of mesh on one side (i mean that this happens randomly)…is there any fixing for normals while i am editing topology by zshpere?

If I recall, zbrush sometimes gets confused when topologizing open ended meshes with gaps between the two sides in symmetry mode. If those objects are symmetrical, my advice is to only do the one side, then mirror it after skin generation via the method I outlined above. Avoid using symmetry in topology mode when possible as it is prone to error. It is a simple matter to mirror an object after the fact.

Normals can be flipped after you generate the skin, in Tool > Display> Flip Normals.
