ZBrush PolyFrame density control

Hello.
I’d like to know how to change density of PolyFrame on Reconstructed SubTools.

In this case I have density mesh (rightside) and I reconstructed to very low (leftside). After this operation I set the slider of subdiv to highest and my PolyFrame showing very dense and unclear (rightside)

How to change polyframe on highest subdivision to showing me lowest. I mean case like on fresh subdivied subtools.

Fresh subdivided. I’d like to have like that.

Hi @Krzysztof_Gryzka ,

Reconstructing subivision levels in reverse order can break the variable polyframe display in some situations. To restore it try the following:

  1. Move to the lowest level or desired level of subdivision and enable polyframe mode.

  2. Move to the next highest level of subdivision. If you see the wireframe subdivide itself, Ctrl-Z the action. To be clear, do not move back to the lower level of subdivision–perform an Undo.

  3. Now again move up in subdivision levels. The wireframe for the base subD level should be maintained. If you are only seeing the wireframe for the base level topology and not any of the progressively lighter lines, then move to the highest SuBD level and toggle polyframe mode off then back on.

My friend found another solution tor the problem. Try to reconstruct onece more time even if you suspect only 4 leves. You’ll get a message : “Reconstruction result: Unable to reconstruct lower subdiv-level. operation cancelled.” and after try to go up and you’ll notice clean polyframe.
