I notice a lot of pen displays are starting to ship with 4K screens now and I’m sceptical of how practical this is for doing heavier duty stuff like ZBrush? I have a fast laptop with full socket cpu ([email protected]) and just a 1080p screen and if I double the document size and shrink it down with AA I get a notable performance drop which I really don’t like. Wouldn’t 4K grant the same performance? I’m sceptical of even the 4K cintiq, let alone a mobile studio, how is a mobile CPU going to be powerful enough?
Experiences? Thoughts?
Edit: I guess you can always half your document size and then set the zoom to 2 if you want 1080p level frame rates?
