zbrush on crossover for mac???

there is a program for mac which basically allows you to run windows programs with out having to emulate the whole os, like vm ware or paralles.

this is called crossover. i tried to install zbrush on crossover through my mac but it didnt work.
anyway of making zbrush brush?

I heard it was the activation process that caused problems but there was some way round it. I don’t know any more than that, can anyone help?

Because Zbrush doesn’t use OpenGL, it should make things easier, but it doesn’t mean it will work. Even if it may work, do you think the pen tablet support will work?

I’ve no idea! I’d like to try it and see if I can find out how to get it running!

I’ve just tried it. Crossover loads nicely and looks like a good app. However, ZBrush is not on their supported list, so has to be installed on a “you’re on your own…lotsa luck” basis. After two failed attempts I clicked on the link that takes you to the install log, which has many fails and “did not install” messages. Not being a code writer, this was Greek to me.

It just looks like, the way Crossover is designed, it has to be programmed to work with each individual app, one at a time. Obviously they haven’t gotten around to ZBrush yet. I sure hope they’re not doing it alphabetically!

Maybe we should start a letter writing campaign?

Maybe is like DarWine?
I’ve tried to use Darwine but without find the light to the end of the tunnel

Now I don’t have more time to try but maybe in the future…
If someone know the way…
