Hey all,
Some time ago I checked out the portfolio of a member who was using ZBrush in addition to real photography in advertisements. I really liked that portfolio but I forgot which member it was. Anyone out there who can give me a reminder of who that was? Also, does anyone else use ZBrush in this manner? Need to justify buying a copy for work, and would like to show practical usage examples (not just cool monsters and ghouls). Not that ghouls aren’t practical…but it just wouldn’t fly here.
He used it in advertising:

Nice clean, non ghoulish, family friendly models.
I love his style.

thanks lemo, i like his style too. this wasn’t quite what i was thinking though. maybe i saw what i was looking for someplace else. would like to insert some z into some sports ads we’ll be doing soon. maybe add some creature features, but mostly, things that can’t be easily done in photoshop. stuff that can’t really be photographed. that’s what i love about zbrush is the ability to reproduce realistic organics.
why not do an “Ad” as an example for the boss? Make something up and go for it. And if it took less time make sure ya let him know that. I believe Pixolator’s Time-Lapse plugin keeps time as well as give you a psd or bump of time-lapsed pics of you working which would help sell zb as well.
some ideas anyway.
You might be thinking of one of our French zfriends…and at the moment I cannot think of his name to point you to his work…soon as I remember it I’ll let you know.
Now that’s a lovely style of work. I reckon that sort of style could even suit my old, slow but reliable machine.
Marcel!!!
