zbrush for blend shapes in maya...

i have problem when importing ( pr exporting from maya 7 ) model with changes for blend shapes…

right now im making some advanced facial setup and i finded werry easy to make good blend shapes with zbrush… specialy when i need to make for example smile left… smile right… and so one… it’s really good to make expresion with X sym and then just mask one half of face and with morf target erease changes on onther side… i hope u understand what is my idea! then just export one side of expresion and mirror blend shape for other side and get perfect smile… or snarl… but i have control for both sides…

problem is that when i import that head that im happy with expresion… when i put that face like one blend shape on my base head… i have… scale… or moving… or both together! i cant solve that problem! my head is moving on the side… or scaled 4 times… and such issues!

can someone help me or tell me whaere is problem…

i export my base mesh… store morf target… make changes… mask one half… and undo changes on one half… and export that changed head for blend shape… that is workflow… but there is still a problem with scaling…

base mesh is in smooth skin with bones… if that mean something??

help somebody???

thanx and sorry for my bad english!!!

During your work, are you using the S.Pivot or Tool>Deformation>Size features at all?

No! i dont use any changing of pivot… or tools/scale…

just move tool to make my blend shape as i want… and later morf target to erease changes on one side of model…

i think that is problem in that… when i import my head… and drop it on view port… and drag… to scale it up to see better… i think that is also scaling… not zooming… and when i export model like that… i get enlarged version… is there any way to import model withot scaling?? i dont know way… and just use zoom when i want no see maybe eye or mouth better?? i think that “zooming” with “relaease alt + LMB” is scaling… not zooming…

u know where is problem?

thanx anyway!

Hey, I could think of two things causing that problem.

1.) You moved the shape to the side then exported to zbrush, thus freezing the transforms.

2.) You freezed the transforms of the blendshapes.

You can check it by looking at x,y,z in the channel box, if it’s 0, then you did one of the two.
