I have some assets I’m trying to work on but when I use the fbx plug-in to import them they come in w/o their respective textures. I’ve tried the 3 different import options in the tab but that simply changes the color of the models. When I import the fbx pieces into 3DS max they come in with their textures. Am I doing something wrong or is the zbrush plug in not capable of this?
There shouldn’t be any problem importing textures, so long as each subtool only has one texture and the texture format is one that the plugin supports. If the plugin can’t find a texture map then you should get a dialog box asking you to locate it.
Thanks Marcus, indeed the problem was that the textures weren’t packed together and one tool might have needed three or four textures.
