Zbrush Document Size

hi i ve got into problems I was working in Zbrush and I was looking the fuction it has I get the idea that I can change the resolution of the document and I do not know if it is okay to draw on a small res and what is the disatvantage of sculpting on a 800x706pxls. how does the tool behave in zbrush?is the tool (like 3Dshpere or triangle, etc) stretchable like in Adobe Illustrator a vector Image?can you send me some resources to understand the Zbrush file format?thanks

What??? Document size has nothing to do with ZTools, unless you make it the maximum size. Then it might slow your computer down. Only worry about the document size when it comes time to do a final render. You could however use a couple of grammar lessons. Just kidding! but seriously. :lol:

hi, well, one of my projects was done on a canvas size at 1140 by 600 pixels and Ive tried to make it 8x times bigger but the bigger it got the more artifacts it had let me show u Iwill attach a screenshot and see it for yourself it has basically a white halo effect all around the object, Ive saved the project as a flat 2D image trough the option Document >Save As (PSD)…

You can’t do that in ZBrush. ZBrush is not a 2D application and is most definitely not an vector graphic application. Even in a 2D application, what happens when you re-size the image 8x larger? The ZBrush document is 2.5D. ZBrush 4R6 is mainly a 3D application but is also capable of 2.5D which is used in illustration (see ZBrush Illustration Techniques). If you want to use the 2.5D aspect of ZBrush, you should start with a document size that will be final.

I suggest not worrying about the doc size until it comes time to render.

Assuming you actually did save a project(.zpr) file; you can resize the document(clear it with ctrl+n) and redraw your tool and enter Edit mode again. Reading alone will not give you mastery of the software.
