Helllo Everyone!
here is a sample video from the DVD. This is just a thanks and introduction as well as a walkthru of whats on the DVD in terms of files and videos so people don’t miss anything. You can see the ecorche figure on screen as well while I talk.
Awesome! I will have to save some cash for this.
Best of luck with the “new kid”.
Sold the movie rights yet?
( Heard it was a choice between Brad Pitt and Hugh Laurie to play you)
Oh I get it, the book as a kid. I was thinking far to literal : D
Brad Pitt as me… no not likely maybe that fat kid in Superbad but less funny
: D
or perhaps the child of Drew Carey and Stephen Fry… but again less funny : D
Thanks man!

Hi Scott,
Just wanted to take a moment and say thanks for the great books.
I bought your first book when it came out and it was probably one of the best instructional/educational books I’ve ever picked up. What made it better than most was all the little tips, tricks and tid bits scattered throughout the book, along with the great general content.
So when your latest book came out, there was no question on wether or not to order it. I’m only about 1/3 of the way through it, but I must say, I’m quite pleased with this book as well. What makes this book so great is the bridging of the gap between the technical use of ZBrush, and the practical application of anatomy, principles of sculpture, and design. Most books tend to be either one or the other.
I’m sure I sound like a bit of a kiss ass here :), but after many years of experience with marginal educational products (classes, books, DVDs etc.), it’s great to see a product that really delivers and is much more valuable than the actual cost of the item.
OK. That’s enough for now. I don’t want you to go getting too big of a head on us.
Keep up the great work and thanks for the information and inspiration.
Greatest compliment I can pay you.
Went out jogging, tried adding an extra mile to the route.
On way back had about a half mile left.
Ran into MailPerson ( “mailman” is a female).
Should note that at this point, sweating, freezing and having
suicidal thoughts.
Frances, mailperson, yells out she has a package
for me
If I don’t take it, because of it’s size, she won’t deliver until
tomorrow.
She says package looks like a book, do I want to take it now.
Any other book, any other author, keep until tomorrow.
Took the book, finished the run.
One comment jumps immediately to mind.
Did it have to weigh that much?
If all else fails will use for doorstop.
Ashley and fatkid: Thank you for the comments! It means a lot to know you are enjoying the book! I love hearing from other artists who are using the book! Thank you all again!
bicc39:

Awesome book. First I read a chapter and learned a lot, but then I watched the videos for it and followed it along with the book and I saw the light.
It is indeed a wonderful book, and to my great surprise and pleasure very usable by a beginner like I am.
I decided to try both approach, building a maya mesh (in my case in silo, it’s easy to adapt Scott’s instructions since you only need tools you will find in most modeling software) and the zsphere approach and for my first try decided to go with the silo mesh (next one will be with the zsphere model since I do plane on revisiting the book a couple of times
But I also decided to follow another piece of advice found in the book and the human male from anatomytools.com and received it today with the matching skull. I already had the wallchart and the female anatomy so I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed, but honestly, I was blown away, what a marvelous piece of art. I have no doubt it will help me tremendously, but seeing those two amazing sculptures is also a joy for the eyes during the breaks (and a great motivation too). Soon, I will open a thread in the main forum to try and show my progress even if I’m a bit embarrassed to show my beginner stuff, I have heard, the zbrush community is very open minded so it should be fine
Mr. Spencer, thanks again fro this great book

Just ordered the book from Amazon. Got it overnighted, so it’ll be here tomorrow. Can’t wait to dig into this one!
This book looks absolutely great!
I loved your last one so I’ll just have to get some things out of the way first, and then I’ll buy it for sure
