I have this piece, made in LowPoly with Zmodeler. I wish to send this to max, keeping the complex edge creasing structure as smoothing groups. I know this is not a problem from max to zbrush, but is there a way to export these creasing info from zbrush to max?
How are you currently creasing the edges?
If you’re using polygroups you can unwrap the model by breaking all polygroups apart. Send that to Max and then use those islands to set up your smoothing.
Thanks for replying ! Actually I creased partial edgeloops using the zmodeler brush. so it’s more complex, they’re not the entire seems of a patch, but a mix of hard and soft… (wich can be done in max by assigning common and separate smoothing groups on 2 polys sharing the same edge). Remaking it manually in max is possible, but not so fun at all.
