Hello everyone! I’ve been working on a project for a month from now on. I’ve saved it as i do every time as i finish. The problem is when i tried to load it Zbrush just crashed. I don’t know what to do, i how to get it back from there. The file size is ~46mb, maybe that is that problem? Can anyone help me? This is one of my major projects and it just ended in scraps
It’s possible that you’ve pushed the model beyond what your computer can handle. It’s also possible that the model simply got corrupted somehow. It’s always good practice to save a few iterations of your models just in case something goes bad.
Do you have a lot of layers? How many polygons had your model hit?
You might be able to recover this by launching ZBrush and immediately setting the Preferences>Compact Mem>Undo values to the minimum. This tells ZBrush to reserve less RAM. If that doesn’t work, I’m afraid I don’t have any ideas for how to recover the project.
Well it didn’t resolve my problem and my model had about 1.5mln polys. I guess it maybe have something to do with retopology… I was making additional clothing to my model using retopology and as I remember I saved the ztool while in this mode… Don’t know if it could do something with it. Well, thank you for your help, I’ll have to start over again… Damn :)!
