Zbrush Core: maps

Hi!

I’m a new user of zbrush and a new member here as well.

I just bought Zbrush Core, and I need some hint, trick or… I don’t know exactly what haha.

“Core version” doesn’t have uv, I know it. But… is there any trick or hint to get normal map export? (I use MODO indie 10.1 as my default 3d app). If not, well… I imagine I can export the base and the most detailed level of the model and create it in Modo, but if I can export some map, the 3d painting, etc, will be awsome.

Thanks in advance :+1:

I’m not familiar with what options Core gives, but I’d recommend exporting your models and baking your normal maps externally anyway, even with the full version of zbrush. This way you can us different topology between your game model and your sculpt, your sculpt wont need UV data, and your normal maps can be synced to use the same tangent basis as your renderer.

Good point.

If my 3d app (Modo indie 10.1) can hold a hiiigh polymesh for those steps, perfect. And having in mind the coming modo update with auto-retopo, better!

Thanks for your reply :+1:
