the above link is for my Onslaught unreal 2004 map…

still in beta form, but the AI works, so you can play it online, LAN, or single player…

Beware tho, I made the AI somewhat tough… they will try flanking the middle position from back way sometimes…

Downloading it now, amazing I just bought UT2004 this weekend hoping to try out your map, and here it is!

I might have a question or two or many when I get into the editor. And maybe one or two when I try to figure out how to select your map in UT.

Here are some simple install instructions for everyone…

ut2004 is broken up into a bunch of folders in the main directory…

in my map I do everything custom so here is where to put files…

.UNR thease are MAP files they go in map folder…

UTX… thease are texture files they go in texture folder…

USX… thease are static meshes, they go in static mesh folder…

then open unreal, host game, and add some bots ,select polaris1 and go have fun :slight_smile:

Yea, I get wasted by the AI also…

I might make it so they spawn further away from the more powerful weaponds :slight_smile: maby make it so bots can only have guided missle around main base… I only get about 1 minuet of flytime before some cowboy BOT picks me off with a missle or a snipper rifel…

That map is made only after a few days work (4 or 5 days maby? I took some time off for release of zbrush 2), I will do a few final things and then release it on planetunreal…

Like there will be a full moon, clouds in skybox… mountains in distance…trees and rocks in outskirts… signs and doors on the buildings ground level… perhaps a dome over center walled in area…ECT… I wanted to see how gameplay was before I invested any more time in it. I get pretty good FPS with it… I may add alot more greenery,and rocks and stuff also…

My next map is going to be the real showstopper, everything will be in its own little zone, so gameplay will be alot more fast, and I will be able to add more detail to the map also… I will have more polys to play with if I use zoneing and not just antiportals…
I also am not going to make it as cluttered around the powernodes, I want more vehicular homicides around powernodes…
