ZBrush Content Animated In Blender

Because ZBrush does not yet possess the built-in ability to animate its creations, I have searched far and wide for a solution to this problem. I like to animate and many other ZBrush users do, as well. For a number of reasons, I have settled on Blender as a suitable application for animating, at very low cost, all of our ZBrush creations. Here is the beginning of an extensive video training series featuring Blender as the solution of choice for the ZBrush modeler. It is rather long, comes in segments, and streams via the Flash video format:

The Blender Head for the Blenderhead

Although this is primarily a modeling exercise, the ending contains a segment that demonstrates Blender’s wonderful “Relative Vertex Key” animation system, which is ideal for ZBrush head models. The general modeling exercise gives an in-depth look at the Blender keyboard conventions, interface and general modeling techniques for a thorough comparison to the ZBrush set of tools.

I think you will find it educational and entertaining,

Excellent!!
I ever want to see how Blender work.
thx for the time passed on that.

This is VERY COOL!!!

Thankyou for this!

Blender is a great solution for many applications!

Be sure to get and install yafray! it is a nice little render system and blender supports it!!!

both blender and yafray run in MAC-Windows-Linux-Solaris-BSD- and if it is not listed for your OS, you can download the sourcecode and compile it yourself :D:+1:

it has a neat built in game engine also, alot of fun for the beginner… also a great solutions for school teachers, they can supply the students with training software at no cost!

for the currious programmer, the open source feature makes it nice to tinker around and experement with your skills… it supports Python scripts too!!! :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

thanks for this tutorial!, Now I have something else I can do when I am waiting for uploads in Linux :D:+1:

EDIT:
Just watched the video!
OMG! I learned 3 new tricks LOL!
Thanks…
Bravo!
cant wait till episode 2 :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:+1:

BTW is there some way to download and store that tutorial?
I dont have time to follow it right now, it would be cool to save it and watch it later…
It would save you bandwidth also, I wont keep logging in for the same tutorial :D:+1:
My temp internet folder gets flushed every time I close Firefox.

anyways, Thanks again!!!

Very cool intro to blender modeling :D:+1:

Polaris, open the swf tuto with internet explorer and when each part are completly downloaded use “Internet Cache Explorer” to save the swf’s on you computer.

Here is the next installment on this Blenderhead session. Ears are added and this “embryonic” mesh is readied for transformation into a wide variety of different character types:

There is also a link between the last session and this one, for those of you who have been collecting them.

I hope you find this useful and entertaining,
