I’m sorry if this is the wrong part of ZBCentral to post this, but my idea is not a Challenge, a Question/Troubleshooter, nor a non-ZBrush related item.

I think now, more than ever, would be a great time to start up the old ZBrush Chat room that a bunch of us used to pop into now and then. We could discuss ZB3 issues, ideas, and praises in realtime. I miss the Monday Night chat we used to have and the Challenges that came out of them.

Anyway, if others are interested, maybe someone can suggest somewhere/somehow that we can get this going. We used ICQ years ago, but I don’t know if that’s a current option or not, since I’m not much of a chatroom guy. I usually communicate through MSN Instant Messenger (see my link below), but I don’t think we can all get in on that.

Namek, I can’t figure out how to properly get in the room. Thought I was in, saw your name and about 5 others, but I don’t see any chatting going on, nor has anyone seemed to notice my “hello”

Why dont’ we also use a skype room ! that would be wonderful also for “real” chat :slight_smile:

I love IRC and I’d love to get more directly involved with the community here. I’m 100% behind any movement towards that end.

bicc39: I imagine that the majority of us are dudes (not all, but most), so you might have a little trouble finding a date in chat!!! :smiley: I’m sure you were kidding, tho

Since I haven’t participated in chat much more than IRC a few years ago (and for about 2 hours last night), and the MSN that I do with a few people, I can’t comment on Skype or anything like that (I don’t even know what Skype is). I think with all the tech-savvy people around here, we will come up with something. I wonder if ZBCentral can add a chat feature?? I know some other forum sites have such a thing built in.

ZBC with chat would rock… though I would hope moderators to be frequently available to keep the community at the awesome level of courtesy this place still enjoys… it’s one thing to keep a forum in line, but a chat room demands alot more attention

if it’s something we just arrange off to the side, then I dont think it’s as big a deal

So skype is a wonderful (and still now free) program for chatting (via text) and also for talking to people (via microphone, headset, webcam, whatever)…it’s very popular (at least here in italy and has some million of users).
I created a zbrush channel
I guess there are no restriction of how many users can use it

if you have skype, just click in the link and skype wil open the chat. Everyone connected now has his space. you then can add people also to persona contact and if you want talk with them
